Biada will give closed industries a chance to resume, what is Amnesty Policy 2025?

Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (Biada) has issued the Biada Amnesty Policy 2025. The main objective of this policy is to reduce the litigation on industrial plots and save the money and time spent on litigation.

Which units will benefit from this policy?

The purpose of the amnesty policy is to bring the industrial land to the industry again, which has been closed for a long time, it will be given the opportunity to resume the closed industries. This policy will be applicable by 31 December 2025.

In simple words, Biada Amnesty Policy 2025 gives opportunity to industries whose allocation is stuck due to controversies or lack of work. With this policy, they can resolve their problems and run the industry again, which will promote both industrialization and employment in Bihar.

In Bihar, industry related litigation is increasing continuously, it causes difficulty in setting up industries, so this policy has been brought as a solution. Under this, units which want to take advantage of this policy can come forward voluntarily. They are expected to take steps to start or carry forward the industry. This will lead to industrial development and will create employment opportunities for the people at the local level.

In the last few years, Biada saw that many industrial units were either not working at all, or were producing very little. On this, Biada inspected these units and issued notices. The allocation of various units was canceled when receiving a show cause notice or no response was canceled, resulting in several complaints filed.

Why Biada Amnesty Policy made 2025?

After considering the entire facts and considering that there has been a lot of litigation. It was considered that a policy should be made, under which the canceled units would be apologized for setting up industries and starting to start commercial production within a certain period of time, which would depend on the prescribed affidavit, administrative charge, applicable fee and bank guarantee.
