The case of a 67 -year -old patient living in Louisiana (America) has been published in the Medical Journal Cureus. This patient had a long time back pain problem, for which he started taking Norco. Initially, light symptoms were seen but as soon as he increased the dose of the drug, his confusion increased further.

The patient said that he used to feel that someone was attacking him, sometimes insects were seen crawling on the roof of the house, sometimes it felt that someone was following him. Due to these symptoms, doctors first considered him a patient of mental illness like schizophrenia and gave her anticylic medicines. But when he shut down the Norco himself, all the confusion completely ended. Doctors say that this was clearly the side effect of the medicine, not mental illness.

Experts said that very few such cases have been registered, so they are often considered wrong disease. He warned that prolonged consumption of opioid drugs like Norco can cause addiction, mental problems and even there may be a risk of death. The American FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has already said that if drugs like Norco are taken for a long time, they can lead the patient to addiction, overdose and death.
