The Bronco Test increases aerobic stamina and cardiovascular boundaries. This yo-yo test is quite different. It is not that after the brokes test comes, the players will not have to pass the Yo-Yo test, but also give 2 km time trial along with these two tests. This test has been specially brought to fast bowlers, so that their physical effort can be detected.

What is the broke test?

Broke Test is a way aerobic running drill, with the help of which the player’s stamina, speed and heart can be known. This test has a shuttle race of 20 meters, 40 meters and 60 meters. Three distances have to be run in a set and the player has to complete five such sets without stopping. In this way, the player has to run 1,200 meters without rest. The bigger thing is that the player has to complete this test within 6 minutes.

What happens in Yo-Yo Test?

YO-YO test is done from 2017 to test the fitness of Indian players. When Virat Kohli was the captain of the Indian team, Strength Coach Shankar Basu brought this test. In this test, the players have to run between two cones kept at a distance of 20 meters and the speed increases at every level. In this, players are given 10 seconds rest after running 40 meters. It is necessary to score 17.1 marks to pass this test.

Difference between Broke Test and Yo-Yo Test

The YO-YO test sees the player’s qualification and the ability to achieve speed after a gap of 10 seconds. At the same time, the brokes test is designed to measure aerobic stamina. Now the players will have to pass not only the YO-YO test, but also the brokes test, which can give accurate information about the overall fitness of the players.

2 km time trial

Apart from the Yo-Yo Test and Broke Tests, players will also have to undergo 2 km time trial. In this test, the players have standard sets according to the role in the team. The fast bowlers present in the team have to complete this trial in 8 minutes 15 seconds. At the same time, there is 8 minutes 30 seconds for batsmen, wicketkeeper and spin bowlers.
