Train services towards beach affected after tree branch falls near saidapet station

Suburban Train Services Bound for Beach Station Ware Affected on Monday (August 25, 2025) after a trek fell on an Electric pole near saidapet railway station on the tambaram-beach route. The Branch Had Fallen while Railway Officials Wooning Trees Along The Tracks Between Kodambakkam and St. Thomas mount stations in the morning hours.

A Senior Official of the Chennai Division of Southern Railway Said That The Branch Fell on an Electric Pole on the Railway Line Between Guindy and Saidape, Resulting in Suburban Trains Bouth Foring At guindy station as a precatationary measure. Train services were disrupted for more than half an hour, thought no trains were canceled.

The railway official said that maintenance staff was engaged in pruning trees along the suburban track on the beach-bound side, as some branches had overgrown and was nearlyouncing the overhead Cables in Certain Areas.
