YouTube has prepared to get its small creators bat. Actually, the company has launched its Hype feature for the global market. It was first introduced at the Made on YouTube event last year and has now been rolled out for 39 countries of the world including India, Japan, America, United Kingdom and Indonesia. After this feature arrives, a separate button will be found near the like button under the YouTube video, which can be pressed and hyped the video. This feature will only work for the creators whose number of followers is less than 5 lakhs.
How will the feature work?
Under this feature, viewers will be able to hype three videos of their choice every week. Some points of each hyp have been determined, which will help the video to make it to the leaderboard. Those viewers who will hyple the video will be given a hyp star badge. This feature will help the small creator move on the leaderboard. The videos that will be hyped will be seen on the hypened badge. Users will also have a filter to watch only hypded videos.
YouTube’s emphasis is on increasing revenue
YouTube is also seeing the possibility of earning from this feature. You can also launch a plan for YouTube Extra Hype later. With this, creators will be able to buy hypes for their videos by paying money. YouTube is also considering bringing Hype Leaderboard for gaming and style etc. YouTube has rolled out this feature to give a chance to equal to the small creator on its platform. Now if more people hypine creators with less subscribers, then it will get more traction on YouTube and it will reach more viewers.
