The whole country is demanding justice in the case of murder for dowry in Greater Noida. Nikki’s elder sister lodged an FIR against husband Vipin, father -in -law, mother -in -law and Jeth (her husband) for this murder. Husband Vipin and mother -in -law were arrested by the police on Sunday, while Jeth and father -in -law were arrested on Monday.
The police said on Sunday (24 August 2025) that Vipin Bhati, 28 -year -old husband of Nikki Bhati, had expressed his desire to post reel on social media and reopen her beauty parlor. There was a dispute about this and Vipin set Nikki on fire.
1. Both Nikki and her sister Kanchan were married in the year 2016 in the Bhati family in Sirsa, Greater Noida. It is alleged that since marriage, both sisters were assaulted for dowry. Nikki returned home several times after assault, but later she was brought back to her in -laws every time. It is alleged that despite giving a Scorpio SUV, Royal Enfield, cash, gold in dowry, Vipin demanded Rs 36 lakh.
2. The reason for the murder of Nikki Bhati was not only a dowry dispute, but also her desire to work. Nikki told her husband Vipin Bhati at around 3:30 pm on August 21 that she wants to open her beauty parlor with her sister again. There was often a fight between Nikki being active on Instagram and starting work again.
3. When Nikki insisted and said that no one could stop her from working, then Vipin was enraged. Police say that he put flammable substances on Nikki inside the house and set it on fire. A few hours later he died in a hospital in Delhi. Police told the police, “Vipin told Nikki that her family is forbidden to post a reel on Instagram and run a parlor. It was from here that the matter deteriorated and both started fighting.”
4. A terrible video of this murder came out, claiming that Vipin assaulted Nikki. In a clip, Vipin is seen putting flammable substances on Nikki and then Nikki is seen running down the stairs and running down the stairs. The family claims that this video was made by Nikki’s sister Kanchan, who was present at the house at that time. Kanchan intentionally recorded this video to register a case of misconduct for years.

6. Vipin posted an emotional post on social media to show this murder suicide. Many screenshots of her Instagram are going viral since Sunday. He wrote, “Why didn’t you tell me what happened? Why did you leave me? Why did you do this? The world is calling me a murderer. Nikki. After you leave, I am going very wrong with me.”
7. Both Nikki and Kanchan sisters were active on their Instagram and YouTube channels. Both were running channels for the parlor under the ‘Makeover by Kanchan’ handle. By Sunday, there were 54,500 followers on Instagram account, while Kanchan had 22,000 followers on the personal account. Nikki had 1,147 followers on Instagram. She was actively posting videos and content and had over 29 lakh views.
8. The victim’s family remained silent to avoid social infamy. Nikki’s brother Vicky said that he kept silence for years to avoid social slander, but now he will take the entire Bhati family behind the bars. A case of murder, conspiracy and attack has been registered against a total of four members of the family under the Indian Justice Code.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken serious cognizance of the reports of 26 -year -old Nikki Bhati being killed for dowry in Greater Noida, demanding immediate arrest and strict action from the Uttar Pradesh Police. The NCW has written a letter to the Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh, directing that strict action should be taken under the relevant sections in this case and a fair and time -bound inquiry should be ensured.
10. In this case, as new revelations are happening, the anger is increasing among the people. Kanchan has started the ‘Justice for Nikki’ campaign on social media. It was told that the two sisters have suffered behind the closed doors of that family.
