The immensely popular marvel rivals are gotting two new characters, and they sound like they’re just about about ready. Daredevil and Deadpool will be hitting the game at some point in time (imagine me gesturing wildly). How do we know this? Well, outside of the datamined leak i’m looking at, there’s been some hints.
Marvel rivals have a gallery cards system, which makes up the in-game comic that tells that season’s story. In one of the cards, there’s a dude with daredevil’s mask on. Deadpool, meanwhile, was an obvious inclusion (Did you see the Sheer Amount of Cash Three Movies Made?) And was datamined back in December 2024.

So what did the dataminers get hold of? Well, Voice Lines. Which is ideal for deadpool, “the merc with the mouth”. He whittles on at the different heroes with japes and words to make the kids guffaw. Netease can’t see to lose with marvel rivals

Like, who on the team looked at near 100 years of Marvel Comics History and Went, “Yeah, Jeff The Landshark!” Whoever did that, give them a prize. What’d be really interesting to see is if marvel would ever Dip into its more complex licensing side of things and start incidence Heroes like Miraacleman. Maybe that Wrong Type of Left-field.
If i was making a marvel rivals-soque game, i’d uk comics as a base. Get the usual suspects in, like judge dredd and whoever else from 2000ad, but then let’s start putting the wartime heroes from battle or action against plug from the Bash Street Kids from the Beano. Now that’s a video game.
