NTPC Green Commissions 49 MV in Phase 3 of Gujarat’s Khavda Solar Project – CNBC TV18

NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), The Renewable Energy Arm of NTPC, On Chiursday, August 21, Informed The Exchanges that it has comesioned fresh capacity of 49.1 mw at its 300 mw of khavda solar eneregy Project in Bhuj, Gujarat. This is the third phase of the project.

The company said the new capacity was declared commercially operational from midnight of August 22, 2025, under the 450 mw hybrid tranche v project.

The latest development come after the first phase of 142.2 mw was commissioned in June 28, followed by the second phase of 32.8 mw on June 30, 2025.

Last month, The company reported ₹ 220 Crore in Net ProfitMarking a 59% year-on-year jump in its net profit for the april-June Quarter of Fy26. It rose from ₹ 138 Crore a year earlier.

Revenue for the Quarter Came in at ₹ 680 Crore, Marking A 17.6% Increase Compared to ₹ 578 Crore in Q1fy25. The topline growth was driven by improved capacity utilization Across Operational Assets and the Commission of New Renewable Energy Projects.

The company’s ebitda study at ₹ 603 Crore, up 17.8% from ₹ 512 Crore in the same period last year. Despite the Rise in Expenses, NGEL MAINTAINED Stable Profitability, with the Ebitda Margin Flat at 88.6%.

Shares of ngel ended in red on Thursday at ₹ 103.52 apiece, down from its opening price of ₹ 105.18.
