Whatsapp call without internet: Google has recently introduced its new Pixel 10 series. This time many big upgrade are being seen in the phone, but the features that are the most discussed are WhatsApp voice and satellite network support for video calls. This means that even if you do not have a mobile signal or Wi-Fi available, you will still be able to call WhatsApp.

Google posted on X (X) and informed that this satellite-based WhatsApp calling feature will be available from August 28 i.e. the same day when the Pixel 10 series will go for sale for the first time. On activating this feature, the status bar of the phone will show the icon of the satellite which will tell that the call is being made through the satellite network.

What will be terms and limitations?

According to Google, satellite calling on Whatsapp will currently work with a select network carriers. Apart from this, using this feature can also levy additional fees. It is not yet clear whether only call facility will be available through satellite or messaging will also be possible.

Google’s lead separate from Apple

Apple is also already offering satellite features in its iPhones but it is limited to sending emergency text messages only. At the same time, this step of Google takes users one step forward because they will be able to make voice and video calls directly on WhatsApp. This can especially prove to be extremely useful in areas where the mobile network disappears completely.

Satellite support in smartwatch too

Not only smartphones, but Pixel Watch 4 LTE models will also be given the facility to connect to the satellite network. This will make it the first such watch in the world that can directly connect with the satellite. Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip has been used in this watch, which will be able to send emergency messages.
