Mumbai University on Monday Announced that it has postponed the exams that was sure Scheduled for August 19 Due to Heavy rain Alert in the city.
In an official statement, the Mumbai university said that in view of the heavy rainfall warning and to avoid inconvenience to students, The University of Mumbai Has Postponed All Examinations Scheduled For Augted for August
“The rescheduled date for these exams is now August 23, 2025, and they will be help at the originally planned times,” said the statement.
The affected exams include several postgraduate and undergraduate courses include – Master of Arts in Communication Journalism (Semester 3), Public Relations (Semester 3), TELEVIN SEMSTES 3), Electronic Media (Semester 3), Film Studies (Semester 3), MPed. (Semester 2), bped. (Semester 2), B.Pharm. (Semester 2), M.Pharm. (Semester 2), M.Ed. (Semester 2), M.Com. (E-commerce, semester 4), MA (CDOE), B (Computer Science & Design, Automation and Robotics), and other.
Dr Pooja Raundale, Director of the Board of Examinations and evaluation, Urged all students and affiliated colleges to take note of the revised schedule and prepare accordingly.
Meanwhile, in view of Heavy rains in Mumbai, The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (Bmc) Education department on monday evening announcing a holiday for all primary and secondary schools in Mumbai on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Due to Ongoing Heavy Rainfall Aroth.
According to an official notification, the decision has been made keeping in mind the safety of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff at City Schools.
The Holiday Applies to All Schools Under Every Management and Medium, Including Private Aided and Unaned Institutions withnin the BMC Limits, It Said.
The bmc has also directed that any Scheduled Exams, Training Sessions, or School Activities for the day be rescued and completeted at a later date by the responsible schools, offecials said.
The schools will also also remain close in Thane, Bhiwandi and Palghar Districts of Maharashtra.
The Civic Authorities on monday issued official notifications for their respective jurisdictions citing heavy rains in the region.
