Is China preparing to attack Taiwan? 10 military aircraft deployed in Adiz and 6 naval

Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense (MND) said on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) that it had registered a military activity of China near its region. According to the Ministry of Defense, Taiwan has confirmed the activities of 10 military aircraft of China and six naval ships.

According to the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense (MND), two of the 10 aircraft crossed the middle line of Taiwan Strait and entered the AIR Defense Identification Zone/Adiz, the Northern Air Defense Identification Area of Taiwan. In response, Taiwan’s army kept a close watch on the situation and also deployed its aircraft, naval ships and coast-based missile systems towards the Chinese military aircraft.

Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense wrote on the social media platform X, “Today on Tuesday (August 19, 2025), 10 aircraft of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and 6 ships of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) were seen around Taiwan. 2 of these aircraft crossed the middle line and entered the North ADID.

Taiwan had recorded China’s activity many times before

This incident is the latest in the link of continuous Chinese military activities. On Monday (August 18, 2025), Taiwan also recorded activities of 6 Chinese military aircraft and 5 naval ships, out of which 3 aircraft crossed the middle line and entered North Adiz.

Similarly, on Sunday, Taiwan’s MND had told that 6 Chinese military aircraft and 5 naval ships were active around him. Of these, 2 aircraft crossed the middle line and entered the northern and south-west ADID of Taiwan.

China calls Taiwan its share

China constantly describes Taiwan as part of its area under its “One China” principle and emphasizes it on reconnaissance with Beijing. At the same time, Taiwan has been responding to the intruders of China while maintaining its sovereignty with the widespread support of the public.
