India Women’s Squad for Odi World Cup 2025: Shafali Misses out; Renuka and amanjot get the nod

Experienced Pacer Renuka Singh and Key All-Orreder Amanjot Kaur Have Returned to Fitness just in time for the women’s Odi world cup.

While the duo has been selected in India’s squad for the world cup, to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from September 30, Opener Shafali Verma Continues to be excluded from the ODI SET-UP.

The squad for the world cup and the preceding three-match Odi series against Australia was selected by the National Women’s Selection Committee, Headed by Neetu David.

Besides the selector, the meeting was attased by captain harmanpreet kaur, vice-consaptain smriti mandhana and head coach amol muzumdar.

Harmanpreet confirmed that amanjot is recovering from a more niggles at the bcci center of excellence in Bengaluru. As a result, she hasn’t named for the series against Australia. Renuka Missed The Women’s Premier League Due to a Stress Fraction that was diagnosed last December and will be in action against Australia.

NEETU stressed the selectors are closely monitoring shafali’s performance.
