Hrithik Roshan-Junior NTR’s ‘War 2’ blast, these 5 big records broke in 4 days

Hrithik Roshan, Junior NTR and Kiara Advani’s ‘War 2’ released worldwide on 14 August. Despite the tough competition with Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’, it got a lot of viewers in Hindi and Telugu markets, while its magic did not work in Tamil. At the same time, ‘War 2’ broke several records on the first day with a heavy budget and the mixed opinion of the audience. According to Caiknilk, ‘War 2’ alone took an opening of Rs 52 crore in India. War 2 launched the teeth on Opening Day
With an opening of Rs 52 crore, ‘War 2’ left Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster film ‘Chhava’ far behind. The Chhava, directed by Laxman Utekar, had an opening of Rs 33.10 crore. This difference of opening of both of them clearly shows how eagerly waiting for Hrithik-Junior NTR’s action film. In fact, the male of big stars, tremendous action and a popular franchise helped ‘War 2’ leave their mark from day one.

After beating “Ek Tha Tiger”, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘Tiger 3’, ‘War 2’ secured the third position in the Production House Spires franchise. Now only Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’, which had an opening of Rs 57 crore, and Hrithik Roshan’s prequel ‘War’, which had an opening of Rs 53.35 crore, is ahead.

Kiara Advani’s biggest opener

For Kiara Advani, ‘War 2’ has now become his biggest opener. The film has left behind his previous hit films ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ and ‘Kabir Singh’. In the initial weekend itself, the film has crossed the Rs 170 crore mark in India, giving Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ a tough competition. Along with Hrithik and Junior NTR, the film also stars Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor.
