As part of the campaign against cyber fraud in Muzaffarnagar, UP, Khalapar police has exposed a fake call center. In the raid on Tuesday, the police arrested two vicious thugs, Ahad and Zubaid. In this action, 3 laptops, 20 mobile phones and 30 SIM cards were recovered.

The gang was running a fake call center called the Sky Line of Group Industries, which used to charge a security fee of Rs 2,500 to 5,000 to the unemployed youth of Pune and nearby.

Pune youth targeted

SP City Satyanarayana Prajapati said that a complaint of fake call center was received in Khalapar area through 1930 Cybercrime Helpline. After investigation, the police conducted raids, in which an organized cyber fraud racket was revealed. This gang used to call women on jobs and call the unemployed youth in Pune and nearby. SIM cards and data were provided to the women who called, through which they used to charge security fees by luring jobs to the youth. After the money was deposited, the number of youth was blocked, and there is no idea of ​​the job.

Laptop, Mobile and SIM card recovered

During the raid, the police recovered 3 laptops, 20 mobile phones and 30 SIM cards from the call center. SP City said that the gang deposited the money in the name of fake companies in its accounts and took 20% commission. The police have discovered three bank accounts, which will be freeze soon. The process of attaching the property acquired by cheating has also been initiated.

Along with this, it was revealed in the investigation that this gang used to call 30,000 to 40,000 people every month, out of which several thousand people were victims of cheating.
