Custodian land scam of 20 crore in Jammu and Kashmir, 500 kanal land grabbed by making fake papers

In Jammu and Udhampur, the ED conducted a big action and conducted a search operation in many places. This action is related to the Custodian Land scam. In which Patwari, Tehsildar, middlemen and some private people together have been found involved in the scam to capture and sell government land. In this, the Jammu unit of ED raided nine places. Of these, eight were in Jammu and one was Udhampur. In this case, the investigation of ED started after several FIRs registered by ACB and J&K police.

Fake papers and captured

Investigations have revealed that about 502.5 kanal custodian land, which is considered the land left of the people who went to Pakistan, was captured by making fake papers. The price of this land has been estimated at around 20 crores. Along with this, ED told that this work was being done through an entire network from the year 2022. Some officials of the revenue department were also involved in this.

According to the information, according to the ED, fake old mutation records were prepared to capture the land. Fake power of attorney was created. Apart from this, fake cell deeds and wrong revenue record entry were created.

Government suffered heavy losses

It is being told that these lands were sold to various persons, including leaders and members of their own gang, by resorting to the methods of fraud by condit and attorney holders. This caused heavy loss to the government.

Use of different accounts

After this, the occupied land was sold to the people and the amount received from it was used by rotating it in separate accounts. During the search, the ED has received several important documents, revenue records and digital evidences. Which are getting information about the entire scam. Currently, the investigation of ED is going on. There may be a lot of revelations in this case.
