CBI caught the kingpin of cyber fraud gang, great success in Operation Chakra

The CBI took a major action on Monday (August 25, 2025) and arrested the mastermind of the Transnational Cyber ​​Fraud Syndicate. This accused named Arjun Prakash was absconding for several months and his search was on under the operation cycle. According to the CBI, this cyber fraud network was caught in May 2025. At that time, the CBI took action with the US FBI, Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) and Microsoft.

Then there was a fake call center ‘Firstda’ running in Noida SEZ (Special Economic Zone). This call center was cheating people from many countries of Britain, Australia and Europe in the name of technical assistance. During the raid, a large amount of digital evidence was found and one of the accused was also arrested.

Accused absconding since FIR was registered

CBI investigation revealed that the real kingpin of this call center is Arjun Prakash. He is the owner of ‘Firstidea’ and the main beneficiary of this entire fraud. He was absconding since the FIR was registered and was avoiding continuous investigation. CBI officials said that on August 25, the accused was caught at Delhi Airport when he was trying to ride in a flight to Kathmandu, Nepal.

International fraud damage India’s image

He was arrested on the spot with the help of immigration team. The CBI has said that it is working on the policy of zero tolerance against cybercrime. The agency made it clear that such frauds to be internationally damaged the image of India. Therefore, the process of eliminating such organized crimes will continue continuously with agencies like FBI, NCA and Microsoft.
