Chikitha taniparthi became the first Indian Compound Archer to Win the Women’s under-21 individual title at the World Youth Archery Championships in Winnipeg, Canada.

Chikitha, a World Cup Stage Team Silver Medallist, Defeated European Youth Champion Paula Diaz Morillas of Spain 142-133 in the Semifinals and Asian Grand Prix Silver MedalList Park Yerin of Korea 142-136 in the Final to Earn Her Maiden International Medal in an individual competition.
