Arson in London’s Indian restaurant, 5 people injured, police arrested 2 suspected accused

Police arrested a 15 -year -old boy and a 54 -year -old man on suspicion of arson on Friday (August 22, 2025) at an Indian restaurant in East London. A total of 5 people were injured in this fire, in which the condition of 2 people is critical. According to the Metropolitan police, there was a fire at night at the Indian Aroma Restaurant at Woodford Avenue, Gantts Hill, Ilford.

At the time of the fire, 3 women and 2 men were scorched while eating food in the restaurant and they were treated by paramedics before being taken to the hospital. Police said that the condition of two injured men and a woman remained critical.
