
Yusuf Pathan, a right -handed explosive batsman and off -spinner, made his debut in the final match of the 2007 T20 World Cup and became part of India’s victory, while he also contributed significantly in the 2011 ODI World Cup, he played in IPL with teams like Rajasthan, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

Irfan Pathan was a left -handed swing bowler and useful batsman. He made a Test debut against Australia in 2003. He harassed many big batsmen with his swing bowling. Irrfan was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy winning team.

Both brothers studied from Mes High School Baroda to Yusuf studied school, while Irfan did not complete his further studies and school dropouts, although cricket gave both new identity and success.

Joseph retired from cricket in February 2021 and stepped into politics in 2024, he contested from Bahrampur in West Bengal on a Trinamool Congress ticket and has become a new identity in politics that became MP.

Irrfan also turned to TV and films after distance from cricket, he appeared in the reality show “Jalak Shikhla Ja” and also appeared in the Tamil film “Cobra” in 2020, today he is a successful cricket commentator and analyst.

The two brothers together founded the “Cricket Academy of Pathans”, Joseph got names like “Lithal Weapon” and “The Beast” for their aggressive style, while Irrfan is remembered for his swing and all -round performance. Both brothers still remain an inspiration for the youth.
